So you’ve made the choice to not have children and you’re struggling to find support, validation and community. There are no words to describe the loss of losing an animal you love. Animals are family and the grief is the same, if not more painful for many folks. It’s completely valid to grieve their absence as you would for any beloved human in your life. Your bond with your animal was special and your feelings of loss are real and important.
